Sushi Gen

Brooklyn Boy | Jul 6, 2004 04:22 PM

A group of friends and I went to Sushi Gen for lunch last week. Even though it was the middle of a weekday, the place was packed. All of the food was delicious and fresh. As a group we sampled a wide variety of rolls and desserts (the desserts were so artfully crafted that it seemed a shame to eat them). The decor was well-done, very colorful. The service, however, left a lot to be desired. The waiter was slow and screwed up our dessert order. I hope it's just growing pains, because the food was such a delight.

Sushi Gen is on the corner of Washington Avenue and St. Mark's Place. Closed Mondays.
