I stopped in here for a late lunch today.
Can seat approximately 24 (as at CB), plus eight or nine at the sushi bar.
Besides me, there was a table of four, a table of two, and a gentleman who came in to make dinner reservations for three.
I ordered squid sushi and asked if they served it with shiso leaf. They served it with a light citrusy sauce instead; it was good.
I ordered real crab meat sushi which was very good -- soy sauce for this one.
I ordered albacore sushi -- good, generous cuts of fish, lightly sauced.
Finally, I ordered sweet shrimp sushi. They also offer live sweet shrimp with the head, etc., but that was a bit much for me for today. This was good too.
They bring you edamame gratis when you sit down. I also ordered a soda and it was under $29 before tip.
Same nice atmosphere as Cafe Blanc.
Very friendly people.
A few notes:
-- They're open 7 days a week from 11:30 to 9:30. Sunday is never a good day for sushi.
-- Small space -- is freshness/turnover a problem?
-- They do have some "Americanized" items, e.g. a roll with mayo. It's not what my friend Andrew calls a "Museum of Sushi."
