Sushi to die for!

I recently found this relatively new Japanese restaurant (opened 2 months ago) tucked away on the northside of 47th between 3rd and Lex called Sushi Tsushima. It is AMAZING and though I'd like to see remain relatively uncrowded and calming, I feel like I have to tell the world about it.

The Omakase so worth it! Each dish comes out beautifully presented and melts in your mouth. The sushi is fresh, sitting atop perfect wads of vinegared rice. When we had it, each omakase came with a seaweed salad, at least 5 slides of fatty tuna sashimi (with a market price of $10 a slice on that day), a rockfish baked in miso sauce, 10 pieces of sushi, and much much more. There was at least $150 worth of food, which makes the $70 price a steal.

The staff are also nice (though some new yorkers may get impatient with the small laid back staff). The sushi chef looks over and smiles every so often, watching us enjoy his creations and thanking us for our patronage.

What more can you ask for?
