Supernatural Properties of Desiree Sandwich Bread

Honestly, how often have you pre-bought Desiree picnic boxes for a weekend picnic or roadtrip and marvelled at how well the sandwiches held up? That bread doesn't get soggy, it just doesn't. I've tried every sandwich on the menu, and no matter what the condiment, no matter what the meaty or veggie filling, from pork to portabella--those sandwiches taste freshly made. I've refridgerated them for days, I've kept them in a car's trunk overnight, and still ... springy yeasty goodness. The perfect picnic sandwiches, they travel unnaturally well.

Does anyone know what the secret is? Pact with the devil? Black magic? I strongly suspect a magical ingredient in the mayonnaise ....
