Super Duper Weenie--Fairfield CT

If you're struggling down (or up) the I-95 clot o'traffic from NY-Boston ... or to just about anywhere in New England, get off exit 24 and try to navigate your way through the M. C. Escher Memorial Traffic Circle.

You won't be disappointed.

Gary Zemola took a truck, parked it near 24, and sold killer puppies for years. Now, he has a storefront.

Oustanding, split Miller's weenies (the butcher's in Stratford, CT and nowhere else), great rolls (French bakery, same town), inventive toppings ... yikes. Gary makes his own relishes (try the hot version on the Chicagoan dog, my favorite). Soups during the wintertime are kvell material.

But you must have the fries. "Watch us cut 'em," says Z-man--without a freezer in sight. Enjoy the website; it'll give you a glimpse of where this place is coming from, its bubble not quite between the hash marks.

Write back if you're an habitue, newbie or for more details. No I don't work there (I build websites and wreite for 'em). But I live about .5 mile away. Grab a bite there; you'll wish you did, too.
