Recently came back from Mexico and thought the Outer Boroughs would prove the best hit. While down South had ice cream (helados): cajeta (goat's milk) and elote (corn) as well as ices (nieves) mango with habaneros.
I could easily see the elote being plated at the "high-end" with a bitter-sweet chocolate sauce.
Have done Corona and Arthur Ave for "ices". Looking more for a lead off the 'beaten path'. Thanks in advance.
