Sunday Night Dinner to Please Veg and Omni

Hi all,

My boyfriend and I will be spending two days of an upcoming roadtrip in Seattle and are trying to make the time as action-packed foodwise as possible. Our first night in town is a Sunday, which is a pain for making reservations with so many restaurants closed. Being vegetarian (a mostly vegan one at that), I thought that checking out Sutra sounded like a great idea. Fast forward to today, when I am skyping with my boyfriend who has been in Norway for the past month and, being on a student budget, has been subsisting on the Norwegian equivalent of ramen noodles. He was telling me about how much he misses meat, steak in particular. Given that our Sunday meal will be his first dinner back in the US, I feel as though Sutra might not be the best bet for leaving us both happy.

So, what are your suggestions for places open on Sundays that will please both a vegetarian/vegan and an omnivore with a craving for red meat? I looked at some previous threads and it seemed like a lot of the suggested places either weren't open on Sundays (Sitka and Spruce) or were a little over our price range (looking to spend around $50pp plus tax and tip). Tilth looks interesting, but there has to be more out there, right?

General info: Two of us, late twenties grad students, coming from San Diego. We tend to prefer a more lively atmosphere, but nothing too scene-y. We are staying at the Ace and will have a car. Proximity to after-dinner cocktails is a plus (Zig Zag?). We have a reservation at Poppy for the next night, so that's out.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have!
