"Sunday drive" along Lakeshore/Highway 2, from South Etobicoke to Burlington...........

I usually end up doing a Sunday drive once a year and love to stop into places along the way. I also take some of this route if driving into the city.

Some places I've enjoyed and would return to are:
Albatross for really good polish food (13th St.)

Michaels for Caribbean (14th St.) specifically the stew chicken

Around 27 St. there is a Filipino bakery on the south side good buns

Woody's Burgers. Amazingly wood grilled burgers with many toppings. (41st St,)

The Empanada Company - lots of different filings. fresh and you can
order baked or fried IIRC. (41st St. Behind Woody's)

Barb's Roti - Really tasty roti. Not my personal favourite, however it has no nearby competitors, and it does the trick. (North side, west I'd Dixie)

Lunch Box - I have not tried this food as it's not my preference for food, however, it was all fresh made Hungarian food. Cabbage rolls, chicken paprikash, veal schnitzel and beef gulyas (goulash) served over nokedli, an egg pasta Cseke made fresh in house. (Lakeshore, west of Cawthra, south side)

Port Credit has many places to stop just to eat or also walk around. I enjoy the food at most of the restaurants/pubs.

Clarkson Pump for wings on wing night (mon/Tuesday) if you like very small wings.

Daylight Grill for great greasy Greek breakfast. ( Southdown plaza and Lakeshore)

My offerings pretty much end there. I've eaten in Oakville, although its been awhile and none of the places stand out. I remember a very nice pub restaurant in Burlington on the water with an amazing view. Great food, although again that was awhile back.

What places do you try if/when you take this route for a drive?

Lunch Box,
Woody's Diner
