i'm referring to the ancient dim sum place on 21 mott street at mosco street in chinatown, on street level above hop kee. i was walking by the other night and noticed that the entire interior of the place was empty--no tables, no chairs, nothing.
i'm assuming that this place is closed for good, but wanted to verify with you guys. does anyone have the scoop as to why they closed down, and if there are any plans to relocate?
also: i'm wondering about hop shing on 9 chatham square (a.k.a. bowery) between doyers and mott streets in chinatown--looks like this place has been replaced by a restaurant called chatham restaurant. does anyone know if this hop shing relocated, or is closed for good as well? and has anyone been to this new chatham restaurant?
