I recently spent some time at Copper Mountain and want to share information about two good dining experiences I had.
Farley's Chop House, Frisco-Went here as a walk-in on a busy Friday night and was promptly seated. NY Strip/bone in was a fantastic steak, char-grilled to perfection. Nice wine list with a good number of "by the glass" selections. Good service in a modestly chic dining room.
Larkspur, Vail-Fine dining in the Golden Peaks lodge. Attentive, professional service. Voluminous wine list (although the Chilean cab I ordered was listed as '03 in list and '04 was brought to the table). Escargoe/wild mushroom pot-pie appetizer was fantastic, as was pork chop in 5 pepper broth that I had as entree. Surprised myself by ordering cheese sampler after dinner and was delighted by the creamy bleu that was presented.
