Looking for suggestions for Alsace, but on budget

We are planning another trip to Alsace on business plus pleasure at the end of June and I'm looking for more suggestions. Have already seen Melanie's detailed post, and we last year greatly enjoyed Zum Pffiferhus as well as several dinners at our hotel, Faude, in Lapoutroie (the cromesqui de foie gras is one of the most memorable things I've ever eaten). We also liked the tarte flambe at Tavern des Mineurs in Ste-Marie-aux-Mines, where we are attending the annual mineral show, and have been to Les Alisiers in Lapoutroie.

Sadly, the 3-stars are now definitely out of our budget (and my husband prefers more modest places anyway). We will also be almost entirely in the Haut Rhin region with only one day in Strasbourg.

So... given that, any new recommendations? any one been to Table de Gourmet in Riquewihr, which has an intriguing menu (takes on traditional, but highlighting wild herbs and interesting combinations)?
