Sugar Nymphs Bistro (Penasco) High Road

tlegray | Oct 26, 200908:41 AM

I’m not sure how it was that we found Sugar Nymphs but I’m so glad we did. It opens at 11:30 and by 11:45 this tiny place was full with others picking up orders to go. I don’t know where they were taking them because this place is really out of the way. If I lived in Santa Fe, Taos, or ABQ I would be a regular. My husband ordered the green chili cheese burger. He said it was very good. I order a grilled cheese with tomato and house salad with their sesame ginger vinaigrette. The grilled cheese was excellent. The salad was made with mixed greens and was also very good. The soup of the day, tomato bisque, smelled wonderful. The lunch menu is limited but I doubt you could go wrong with anything. We ordered a generous slice of carrot cake too. The cake was moist and not sweet. The cream cheese frosting was perfect to our taste…a little tart. It was a very nice combination.
