we set out for jewel of himilaya, found it closed and decided to try Sue and Hai's. Once upon a time (~20 years ago), s&h was one of the top cantonese in the county, I think owned by david chen. Once it changed hands, the food quickly went downhill and we haven't been back in the intervening 15 years. We found some recent, positive reviews on yelp and gave it a try.
We decided to order off the thai menu, the fried tofu in peanut sauce looked a hot mess but we found creamy goodness on the inside with a nice, crispy exterior, the sauce had some sneaky heat and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. We also tried the drunken chicken, maybe a B to flushing srirpaphai's rendition, but good for Westchester.
