Struggling for NYE

ComerDemonio | Dec 12, 2012 03:58 PM

I will be in London at the end of the month and I am stuck for a good NYE restaurant. We are staying near Cromwell and Queen's Gate (South Kensington) but we are more than willing to walk for 30 or 45 minutes in each direction. A tube or cab ride is also okay. We are looking for a place where we can sit down sometime after 21:30 and where we can kiss in the new year and finish up sometime after midnight. We would also like a lively place where we can bring up the average age a bit (we're in our mid-forties). Price is generally not an issue but we already passed on the Duck and Waffle at 275.00 GBP per person without drinks (We are going another night instead).

Most importantly we are looking for great food. Hopefully based on British ingredients and we prefer creative tip-to-tail or fin-to-gill style cooking. We are happy with a la carte dining or tasting menus. Finally, we much prefer wine over beer when we are eating.

Basically we are looking for a fun evening with some good food and wine.
