Seemed Like a Strange Pairing

This was the 2nd of a 5 course tasting: Mixed citrus with confit artichokes, shaved fennel, toasted hazelnuts and ricotta salata. So as not to influence opinions, I'll not mention the wine paired for a few days or so. What would you have paired with this course?
