Storing used deep fry oil

I deep fried for the first time ever (used a dutch oven). I was shocked at how much oil it took! Now I certainly don't want to waste it all. I let it cool, strained it through a fine mesh sieve and have put it in a plastic tupperware bowl with lid. It is being stored down in my cold room.

any other tips? Should I restrain through cheesecloth? How long will it last?
