The (what I think of as) "main" NYC Barnes & Noble at 122 5th Avenue at 18th St has an excellent selection of cookbooks/books on food for a general bookstore - including such as the Heston Blumenthal book In Search of Perfection (the first place I've seen it) and the Hervé This books on cooking/science. The section is relatively small but the selection choice.
Nice to find things where one might not necessarily expect much. Any other places worth pointing out in NY or elsewhere? (That is, other than the usual specialized stores such as, here in NY, Kitchen Arts and Letters, Bonnie Slotnick Cookbooks, etc.)
Incidentally am not shilling for B&N or other stores, am not employed in the publishing/bookselling industry but wish I were.
