We're new to FL and a poster on another board recently alerted me to the fact that it's stone crab season. Now, I'm a Marylander with pretty specific (i.e. limited) ideas about what you should do with crab-- crabcakes, crab soup (tomato, not cream), and steamed with Old Bay. I also have some experience with peeky toe crab-- mostly in the form of crab rolls (yum!). So what's one to do with a stone crab? How are they different from blue crab? And does anyone know a good fish market that might have them in Tallahassee? TIA!
