STL - JBucks at W. County Mall

I have not been to the original JBucks Restaurant in Clayton, but did have lunch at the new one in the West County Mall recently. I wanted to share my comments with this board, as this struck me as non-typical "mall restaurant."

We actually went there trying to find a football game that was being broadcast on HDnet TV. We found the game and a great place to eat, drink, and enjoy. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating to our small group. We found the atmosphere to be pleasant and relaxing.

The menu is not lengthy, but did seem to offer plenty of good all-American choices that should suit nearly everyone. We had the artichoke dip served warm with corn chips. The dip was good but had a mayonnaise flavor that was too strong to suit me. For lunch our table had pizzas and sandwiches. The sandwiches were huge and well-liked by those who ordered them. Two of us had pizza. The pizzas have a very thin crust and are offered with some unique toppings. They were also a hit.

If you go, especially on weekends, make reservations (unless you want an excuse to shop). This place is very busy and I can see why. JBucks staff is working hard to provide excellent customer service and they are succeeding. We are looking forward to returning for dinner in the near future.
