Can't believe that this hasn't been addressed on the site before, but I did a search and nothing came up...

I have a friend coming in from Manhattan who believes the greatest (and insurmountable) difference between LA and NY
lies in his inability to find a great Martini here. He is an absolute purist with very strong opinions ( I am sure you all can sympathize with him there). So he means Gin with enough Vermouth to smooth it out, no fruit, no chocolate, no frills...

So, where is the best martini to be had in L.A.?
