Sticky Breville Pan - How to Clean?

poochiechow | Oct 25, 201612:56 PM     4

hey CH, i have a Breville that came with an enamel 12"x12" baking pans (http://www.brevilleusa.com/baking-pan...) that has gotten a layer of sticky crust all over it over the past two years of nearly daily use. has this happened to anyone else? is there anything i can do about it now? the replacement is cheap, i just hate to throw things out that can be revived.

and importantly, is it my fault/can it be avoided in the future? i've never had an enamel pan so i'm not certain how to care for them. was i supposed to use foil any time i used it? (i do sometimes, but often when roasting vegetables or nuts, i just put them on the pan.) i wash after every use, but that's about it.
