I've injured my dominant hand just as the crabapple tree ripened! All the recipes say to remove stems and blossom ends before making my annual jelly--has anyone *not* done this? I can't use a knife for another week or so, and four litres of crabapples is a lot of cutting! (Obviously, they'll be strained out of the final jelly.) Related: any idea how long they'll keep in the fridge (several are slightly bruised) while left whole?
