steak for the poorly dressed

The Handyman | Sep 24, 2003 12:54 AM

I'm not a steak expert, but I owe a nice dinner to a friend who is. We don't want to dress up. We want to stay in or near Manhattan. Luger's doesn't have any reasonable reservation times. Cost is only a small consideration. Any suggestions?

Here's what I'm considering:

Christos Hasapo-Taverna (Astoria)
Keen's (Garment District) (dress-up?)
MarkJoseph (Financial District) (dress-up?)
Old Homestead (Village)
Sparks (Midtown) (dress-up?)
Smith & Wollensky (Midtown)
Fairway (can I really pay off a debt at a grocery store?)
