I need some second opinions. I'm having a dinner party for eight on Saturday. I'm serving steak, a marinated steak (in herbs and olive oil). For my starch side I was thinking of doing polenta, than top both the meat and the polenta with a wild mushroom saute/sauce. I know it's ususally potatos that goes with steaks, but I wanted to do something different. Anybody think it's a bad idea?
Also, my starter is a orange, jicama, avocado salad with orange vinaigrette, topped with grilled shrimp.
