Last week I was treated to a slice of panettone baked by Starter Bakery, recommended by "foodeye" here, https://www.chowhound.com/post/nighti... .

It's light as a feather and ethereal, almost too airy. Excellent flavor with a good amount of citrus peel, golden raisins and nuts, lending an impression of richness in that light body. Current price is $25, and curbside pick-up from the Berkeley bakery is available.

Interestingly, the Luke's Local stores (Union St or Cole St) offer it for $15.99 on its website for a delivery or store pick-up date of December 23.
