Starsky Foods & Magoos Burgers

Did the Dimpflmeier et al shuffle in the west end this past weekend and decided to head off the new Polish grocery store on Dundas in Mississauga.
Starsky Foods is a pretty amazing place if you like East and Central European food. It was also very crowded on a Saturday afternoon. You can find most of what they have in Roncie and other such places, but they really do have an unbeleivable variety of brands. And it's all in one spot. They have their official opening on Dec 10th, whatever that means.

Note to self Brandt Meats factory outlet closes at 2pm on a Saturday!

After reading about it here, we checked out Magoos on Dundas in the Kingsway mall. The burgers are much tastier than Apache and others we've tried so far in the west end. Bigger and juicer patties as well as nice buns. They also have a much better selection of condiments. I just wish they would put the cheese on the burger when it's on the grill rather than leaving it on the bun for the hot patty to melt. A con for me was that their onion rings weren't anything special. Let me know if there are any other in the west end to check out. We've been directed to try Grillway at Runnymede and Annette.
