Four Star Seafood & Provisions was a supplier to the City's top restaurants. With the collapse of the hospitality industry, it has pivoted to cater to consumers. Over the past couple months, the website has become more retail oriented and inventory has expanded to provide a wider range of local products and pantry items. Though businesses are beginning to open up, many of us will still be sheltering in place for another month or more and cooking at home. A couple of friends have relied on it as an alternative to Instacart delivery. Though I've been meaning to try it out, I haven't yet. So I was pleased to see the rec from "david kaplan" https://www.chowhound.com/post/great-...

Four Star offers free same day or next day delivery to a large part of the Bay Area with a minimum order of $100. With premium grade meats (e.g., Flannery beef, Wolfe Ranch quail, Liberty duck) and seafood, that won't be a difficult minimum to reach. And for pick-up at the warehouse from 9am to noon, there is no minimum order required. I've been window-shopping its website for two months now, and new things keep coming on line. The meal kits and the curated ingredient care packages look interesting too.
