Stamford connaissance

I whizzed by a few interesting looking places that perked up my chow radar, but didn't have time to do any grazing. Anyone know more? Or anyone have time to eat and report?

Villa Italia, 812 East Main St
in an ugly, nearly burned-out looking shopping strip, but I get a very very good vibe. Specials board lists some earnest-sounding stuff, at a good price. Diners looked happy, plates looked good.

Bachata 822 E Main St
Dominican or Puerto Rican (diffs are subtle, and I didn't have time to grok in). Steam table looked a little tired late on a Sunday, but that's surely timing. I bet it's great for lunch.

Sergio's Pizza 985 East Main st
Everything looked abysmal EXCEPT the pizza, which is classic Greek-style, which not everyone likes. Anyone out there know and appreciate Greek pizza who's either been here or would have an opportunity to go try it out? If you're expecting thin crust, cheese-centric Italian pizza, this will not be your place.

Kampei 49 High Ridge Rd
Good looking inauthentic Japanese/Chinese, with "fun" sushi. I'd probably stick to sushi here, but who knows....
