Looking for stainless stainless steel cookware

Ottawasabi | May 6, 201506:03 PM

I'm looking for recommendations on s/s cookware that is not made in China.

I recently bought a Zwilling TruClad cookware set to replace tried and true Lagostina cookware that didn't work with induction, but it's turned out to be more high maintenance than my ex. It stains really easily and is really hard to clean compared to other s/s I've had in the past (also had Paderno).

I know that others are having the same staining problem because I've seen it mentioned by quite a few reviewers on The Bay's website for that exact product. I've been in touch with Zwilling but they don't see it as an issue and suggest I use Vim to clean the cookware.

The cookware is manufactured in China and I do wonder if there is a quality issue perhaps with the metal. I've come to dislike using the cooking knowing what a pain it will be to clean it, so I'm prepared to move on and buy something different. I'm looking for a relatively high-quality s/s set to complement the cast iron and non-stick cookware that I am happy with. I have both gas and induction -- the Bertazzoni combo unit which I'm happy with.

Any suggestions?
