Out of curiosity, does anyone know what happened to Napoleon, the simply wonderful French bakery on State Street in Sta. Barbara that a couple of years ago went down the tubes and then very quickly closed? For instance, where is the baker now? Here in L.A., I've found no sources of great French or Danish-style pastries between Bev. Hills and the ocean in several years of looking. I remember Swen's in Pasadena long ago; and Mortensen's, the last good place in Solvang.
