St. Paul MN Bascali's Brick Oven--waste of time/money

I was craving a good pizza but a simple margharita pizza was too much for them. Way too much rubbery cheese, a few dried up basil leaves and a too thick crust with no taste.

My husband loves grinder sandwiches but not here. Sandwich was way over toasted/burnt--rough on the roof of his mouth. There was no tomato sauce on it and the sausage was tasteless.

We are trying to use/find the best restaurants in the entertainment book. Are there any this year? Should have skipped this place. However, the Nelson Cheese sandwich shop on the corner next door looked interesting and was really busy.
