Back from St. Martin

Thanks to all who helped make this a wonderful trip. An idyllic setting. In St. Martin, we had an especially good French-Carribean meal in a pretty tea room like setting @ L'Hibiscus: great lobster bisque, duck, and a platter of exquisite chocolate confections. I wanted to like Talk of the Town, but didn't, maybe an off night, but the corn was cold, the shrimp tasteless, and the macaroni side Kraft-like. That it was very windy and our utensils kept blowing away didn't help. Good coconut ice cream for dessert, though. A nice Italian meal @ Il Nettuno: rich tomato soup, lobster soup, fresh gnocchi. We ventured over to the Dutch side as we couldn't resist trying the Wajang Doll, despite the mixed reviews. It was the best ristafel we've had outside Amsterdam-and we have it every chance we get. 2 nights on Anguilla with a good meal @ the Old House Restaurant, what I would think is traditional Carribean fare.
