St. Marks Bistro

I have eaten at St. Marks Bistro four times. The first three times were so good, I dreamed about returning to the restaurant to sample the food yet again. The last time I ate there (tonight, a Monday night). I was left with a less than dreamy feeling. The waitress was unfriendly to say the least. There was some problem with our order, which she alerted us to without any kind of any apology. When it finally arrived, it was cold and so salty it was unedible. When we told our waitress this, she removed and said she would replace it. No apology, no remorse, more annoyance than anything else. This is not like our previous experiences there when we had gracious and genereous waitstaff. We were offerred complimentary desert wine, etc, and that was without a problem with the meal. I wonder if there is a reason that restaurants used to be closed on Mondays? And perhaps they still should be? Is the Chef, or owner not around on Mondays, and therefore the staff if less, shall we say desireable? Anyway, I am sad that I will not be dreaming about an amazing meal at St. Marks Bistro anymore.
