We will be in St. Louis Thursday night, Nov 6. Have not been there in ten years. I scanned comments on the board, last two years of reviews in the Dispatch, Fordor's on-line, and so on.
I am still not sure. We love freshly made pasta, Northern Italian style. My limited experience in St. Louis has been only Southern style.
Regarding other food styles, we also enjoy very much fresh, innovative (Americana/nouvelle/whatever).
We don't care for formality, tie required, etc. We love the type of place where you can feel comfortable in blazer/slacks or jeans.
While price is relevant, we don't mind paying significant dollars for fresh, well prepared dishes.
We will be staying in Westport, but don't mind driving in.
So, where do we go for fresh, Northern Italian style pasta? Or, for fresh, innovative Americana? Does Bar Italia fit in either? What about The Crossing? 12 North Cafe? Sidney Street Cafe? Big Sky Cafe?
Is there a source for menus on line?
Hopefully this is not too long.
Thank you in advance.
