Yesterday I found some truffles on our property, but the consistency is weird. They are brown with a brownish interior, but they won't grate because they are squishy. The interior is very wet but the exterior is dry. I am 100% positive they are truffles....I thought maybe they are bad but they smell AMAZING, not rotten or anything, the consistency is just strange....it reminds me of what slicing raw fish is like. Has anyone had this experience? Any advice is appreciated.
