Did some shopping at the SF Market (Stockton and 65th St.) yesterday. Noticed they had squash blossoms. Big bunch of large blossoms - about 15 in all - surrounded by young squash vine tendrils. Turns out they're popular in Thai cuisine.

Bought some.

Came home and ran a search at www.google.com for "squash blossoms". Found several recipes - all the way from soup to salad, etc. Picked one that sounded appealing and made it for dinner tonight. Yum!!!

A taste of heaven for $.99!!!

What unexpected goodies have you found at an Asian market?
