Springsteen fan (and LA Hound) needs late night ideas

I'll be in NY next week, with my husband and another couple, for the Springsteen shows at the Meadowlands next Wednesday and Thursday. We're veterans of many NY area Springsteen shows. Additionally, I traveled to NY regularly for work for about 15 years, but I haven't been in NY for around a year (to be precise, since the Vote for Change show at the Meadowlands last October).

We never eat dinner before the shows. After the Shea shows in 2003, we ended up at Florent a couple of times, and it fit our needs very well. Is Florent still a decent idea? We tried to eat at Blue Ribbon but the wait was horrendous because our group was larger. Last year, we went to Hop Wo. Sadly, we've also eaten at the Roxy deli more times than I'd care to admit. We're looking for new ideas. We'll be taking the bus to/from the shows, so we'll end up at the Port Authority somewhere around 11:30pm or midnight, and we can take a taxi to wherever from there. Three of us eat everything, and the other doesn't eat red meat or poultry but eats everything else.

On the non-Springsteen nights of this trip, I'm really excited to be trying a few new places, including Hearth and The Mermaid Inn, for which we already have reservations and would gladly accept recommendations of what to order.

Thanks.
