SPITZ: Go for the gelato, stay for the kebabs ...

ipsedixit | Jul 2, 200609:10 PM     6

80 degree evenings makes one want something cold and smooth.

So off to SPITZ in Eagle Rock where we had heard good things about the gelato.

Tried the Green Tea (nice subtle tea flavor but a bit too minty), Dark Chocolate (good rich flavor) and the Vanilla (too sweet, but good vanilla flavor. Got greedy and also had some Rasberry and Pomegranate - both were delicious.

But as were doing our tour of gelato, the strong whiff of Doner Kebabs got the best of us and before you knew it we were digging into a focacia like sandwich with chicken tzaziki and chili sauce.

A perfect way to end a gelato feast...

Cheers.
