Whole Spice; 5 Dot Ranch; Ritual (Oxbow Public Market) Napa report w/ pics

Whole Spice is in the Oxbow Public Market. It's a small shop with tons and tons of spices.

I only got 1 thing that a fellow chowhound Rworange recommended to me: Zhug. It's a Yemenite spicy blend. It's a mix of Chile Tianjin, garlic, coriander, cumin, salt, cardamon, cloves, cilantro. It's a bit spicy.

It was pre-bagged I think 1 oz for under $3. Credit cards taken.
5 Dot Ranch:
We didn't get anything here, but hubby thought the meats looked good. Good cuts & they had Offals. Beef tongue, liver, kidney, sweet breads.

It's not fully open yet, they were just working with french presses to make coffee. I even thought it was free, but they are charging like $2 for a cup. I asked about the cappucino but they don't have the machines ready..maybe sometime in May '08. Online it says 5/1 but you never know.
