Spasso review, holiday office lunch

jen | Dec 20, 2002 06:13 PM

We decided to return to Spasso(on front street between market and arch) for our office holiday lunch and it was quite a good deal. For $20.00 a head we had a delicious four course meal consisting of a cold antipasti platter with proscuitto, mozzarella, a hard italian cheese, olives and roasted red peppers, and a hot antipasti platter with grilled and fried calamari with a tangy red sauce to dip in. Then came fresh taglietelle with a tomato sauce that was very good, the pasta had an excellent bite. And then the entrees which were a choice of salmon, veal with artichokes, or chicken with asparagus. Dessert came on big trays with sample sizes of tiramisu, cannolis, chocolate cake, cream puffs and cheese cake. All were very good, especially the tiramisu. I'm not sure if they were house-made or not. The waitstaff were extremely attentive despite the fact that we were a large party.
