Ended up in Saratoga on a Sunday night. Man, the bubble HAS burst - not a soul in sight and three couples in tiny Sent Sovi - who appear not to have realized about as they continue to charge pre- bubble prices.
My wife had the blue fish with a form of breaded crust that was non descript on a bed of kale - also non descript and generally bland. I had the prix fixe menu of a very good salad with olives, feta, and balsamic dressing - the high point of the meal. The entre was pork in what was advertized as a cherry sauce - beans on the side over wilted spinach. Nothing seemed to stand out from a flavor point of view and the creme brule was only saved by maple sugar on top. The waiter also brought me aglass of cabernet when I ordered pinot noir, but since he also was absent minded enough not to charge me I can't complain. Dinner, in sum, was underflavored and overpriced at $80 for two.
