Southern Approach to Renu Nakorn

Curt | Apr 6, 2004 11:21 PM

After the Thai food from Disneyland "debate", I decided to put a clock on it.
Also, because many desire to, and should try Renu Nakorn, I thought it would be good to post some help.

I was heading to LA.
Because I was in no hurry, I stopped by the Disneyland hotel on the way.
From the Disneyland Hotel, to Renu Nakorn, took 17 minutes.
We arrived at Renu about 10:30 am.

The only traffic we hit was at Carmenita, 1 exit before Rosecrans.
I usually get off there and head north to Rosecrans, but for this test, I went to Rosecrans.

After exiting, because of the abruptness of the intersection, the traffic to my right and my unfamiliarity with Rosecrans, I blew past my turn ( I blew past it my first trip too!).
I pulled a questionable u-turn and then proceeded to Renu.

If your are taking Rosecrans, from north I-5, you need to merge right, and turn right, immediately after exiting.

I've included a couple shots of the place.
It's easy to miss if you don't know it.
It's on the north side of Rosecrans, just past Shoemaker, when heading east from the freeway.

Heading home, the stretch from Rosecrans to Disneyland Drive took about a half hour. (3:30-4:00)
