Well...they're trying. And it's not that the food was bad, in fact the sauces (from the kitchen and four squeeze bottles of different varieties on the table) were tasty. It's just that the ribs were _very fatty_. In fact, they were fattier and therefore less meaty than the terrific-for-this-area ones at Ribs on the Run in Yonkers. All that aside, the appetizer wings were actually very good (hard to mess those up), the not-too-sweet coleslaw was quite enjoyable (minced texture leading to a completely different, and novel, tastiness), and the grilled veg side was acceptable. Companions enjoyed big portion of jambalaya and a quarter chicken (again, I think it's pretty hard to go wrong with bbq chicken). Oh and the corn bread was sweet and not textury enough for me, but I ate it all the same. Think of it as dessert. Which reminds me, the Miss. mud pie was so rich as to make me thirsty. Service was prompt and cheerful, as it should be in a new restaurant. I plan to go back, especially since it's a nice motorcycle ride to get there. (Location must be intentional on their part. It has a roadhouse-y ambience.) Address & phone have been provided elsewhere on the board, but I think it's 301 Columbus Ave. in Valhalla.
