i often feel like the south bay is a food wasteland, but i was inspired this morning after reading "vegging out" by corey levitan in the 3.12.04 issue of rave! which highlights some vegetarian spots i can try. whether or not i can get my carnivorous better half to give it a go is still uncertain, but believe you me, i will try.
anyone have any feedback on the restaurants reviewed? i'm particularly interested in papillon in el segundo, which offers vegetarian adobo. i've been antsy to try this traditional filipino dish forever since my in-law's always have it at their family events and i've never tried it since it's got meat in it.
