I've been looking around for a source of salt-packed anchovies in San Francisco and have been coming up dry. Any suggestions? I just did a search on Chowhound and found one source in SF: Lucca Delicatessen (Valencia & 22nd), two in the East Bay (Ratto's in Oakland and Berkeley Bowl). Is Lucca the only place to get them in SF?
On a related note, so far I've only seen salt-packed capers one place in SF: Andronico's. I'm hoping that if a store has salt-packed anchovies I'll score on both fronts, but you never know. Suggestions?
