have you ever noticed any dessert recipe (or savory for that matter) containing sour cream is pretty much guaranteed to be delicious?
post your favorite recipe containing sour cream.
here's mine: its not a dessert, but really excelllllllllllent corn bread. (northern style)
10oz ap flour
4-1/2 ounce cornmeal
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
5.25 ounce (3/4 cup) sugar (or you can reduce it a bit for your taste)
8 tbsp butter, melted
3/4 cup SOUR CREAM
1/2 cup milk
heat oven to 400
spray whatever you are baking them in with a nonstick spray.
whisk the dry ingredients together.
whisk eggs until light coloered.
add the sugar until thick (about 30 seconds)
add melted butter in three additions.
add 1/2 the sour cream and 1/2 the milk. whisk.
add the remaining sour cream and milk.
add the wet ingredients to the dry. mixing gently JUST until moist.
add to the muffin tins and bake.
cool in the tins 5 minutes before removing.
