SOS...SF Bay Area visitors need restaurant and bakery ideas for this weekend!

houndbythebay | May 17, 201701:51 AM

Hello and sorry for the short notice. We arrive from the SF Bay Area Thursday (one day from now) and stay until Sunday evening. Would love ideas for great bakeries in Manhattan or Brooklyn. We like rustic fruit pastries, almond croissants, chocolate croissants, pies, crisps and cookies-- not so fond of cupcakes, cakes and fru-fru stuff. We are staying on East 44th St and will be going to a show at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola one night. Are their any good restaurants near either where we are staying or near the club where we could eat kind of fast (but good) and still make our show? Also would love help with restaurant ideas for the other two dinners, two lunches and one lunch idea for Brooklyn. We will be taking in a couple of plays so restaurants that are not too far away either from the theatre district or our hotel would be great. We love Thai, Sushi, Italian, Seafood, NY cuisine (we have California Cuisine so you guys must have your own too), Burmese, Greek and tend to like menus that have great vegetable options rather than being really meat heavy. (we do eat chicken and fish) Organic, local ingredients are always nice but not a must. Casual to smart casual is fine.
