After searching this board for Sonora, Yosemite and other communities in that area and not finding much, we decided that the Sonora Hotel would be all right for dinner on Sunday night. The Sonora Hotel no longer has a restaurant. The phone book came into play since it was getting late and we opted for Banny's Cafe.
Excellent food, flavors went together very nicely. We went for rare meat, lamb and beef. Beef with flavored butter and lamb with Morrocan spices. Meat entrees about $14-15.(most expensive items on the menu)Tomato Bisque was flavorful. Dessert of bread pudding with caramel sauce with walnuts and raisins was not overly sweet.
The wine list was entirely domestic and nothing that I could see was marked up more than a couple of dollars above retail.
Truly a find.
