Song on 5th Ave.

Song, the new Joya outpost on 5th Avenue, is really good. The food is yummy, the prices are great (average entree is $8ish), and the vibe is great . The spare rib and beef salad appetizers are awesome. The beef pad see ew and the chicken masaman were both quite good -- not totally top notch, but more than serviceable, and a real treat for the price and given the cool space. The bar at Song is good too. I feel a bit bad for Thai Sky, the new-ish place two blocks further down, because I liks that place and fear that Song will have its number (the duck pad thai at Thai Sky is one of the naughtiest thai dishes I've had, so good). But could be worse -- could be my money.
