Restaurants & Bars 3

Solo Splurge

Eujeanie | Jun 3, 2008 04:09 AM

I'm trying to decide which of these 4 restaurants to go to for my splurge tasting menu dinner.

I'm most concerned about comfortable (made to feel welcome, not awkward, as well as physically comfortable) seating for a solo diner, as well as interesting, well executed food.

They are, in alphabetical order:

Eleven Madison Park
Gilt
Gordon Ramsay at the London (main dining room)
L'Atelier

L'Atelier seems the most obvious choice to address my concerns, but the price tag is pushing my upper limit (and I would not be interested in a smaller or a la carte menu, if I'm going to do this I want the full experience wherever I go).

Where would you feel most comfortable dining alone and enjoying fabulous food?
